Allocating images to variations

Hi

I just created my first listing (finally)
I added multiple variations of colour and added 9 images as that was the maximum, but after clicking finish, the listing was created with 20 variations and all the pictures were the same on each variation, how do I change this! I click edit on each variation but I cannot delete the old images to add the correct colours

Any image you want to be on every variation should be added to the parent SKU then add any image you want on the child SKU’s should be added via edit to each child SKU individually. You should be able to delete any image you dont want but Ive found it can take 24-36 hrs for them to become active.

You enter each listing from the inventory and ensure you are entering the images on the child and not the images within the parent.
You should have boxes with images to add and these should easily be replaced with your new ones.

Any changes can take up to 24 hours before you see it go live, it is never instant unfortunately.

Something that may help if you using the interface and not flat file (and that I have only discovered myself recently) -

I often find if I go through Inventory (either Edit Product or through Suppressed listings) to update an image it often does not take. The upload works but the image does not update.

Instead go through Catalogue - Upload Images and this seems to work

At least it did for me on a few products that Amazon kept saying the image was not on a white background. Updating via Inventory would have no effect. Updating via Catalogue - Upload Images and the change took effect within a day

Learn how to use templates:
https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/listing/cards

Maybe you will need to spend some time on it, but it can also save a lot of time in the future.

It is not as hard as it looks.
