SENDING INVENTORY DIRECTLY TO AMAZON WAREHOUSE

I am sending inventory directly to amazon warehouse and I have previously send it too,

But this time when I am creating shipment, Amazon is charging me placement fees which is quite a lot,

(I cant go for multiple warehouses distribution)

can anyone help me avoid placement fee?

Thanks

One of the 'joys' of doing FBA is that THEY decide what they want/need in whatever location and they have you ship it there.

That is so that THEIR customers can get things faster and make THEM look good.

If you ship multiple boxes they can/will make you split shipments. There was one recent thread where the seller had to ship to three locations. They were using the ‘placement service’ and said ‘This dramatically increase cost. For me it cost of sending same shipment went from $300 to $1500. ‘

My solution has been (and until I am in a nursing home and can't ship things any longer) to sell FBM. I don't trust Warehouse Wally and their automated forklifts to not run over my stuff.

I pack and ship things better than they do anyway. My last several shipments came in plastic bags. One was the package of socks as sold in stores with just the shipping label stuck on it. At least the mail man didn't laugh at my choices. I'm considering buying some thongs just to get a chuckle out of him.

Unless you simply HAVE to do FBA you will continue having these issues and they will most likely get worse as they 'fine tune' where your items need to go.

Apparently you CAN 'opt out' of some things BUT it will cost you extra for doing that.

Others may have some information on those costs!

Hi @Seller_gBRh4FDObebS7, it sounds like you are using the FBA Inventory Placement Service, which is subject to the fees table listed in that help page. As detailed there (emphasis mine):

By default, when you create a shipping plan, your shipment may be divided into multiple shipments, each directed to a different receive center or fulfillment center (referred to as distributed inventory placement).

You can sign up for the Inventory Placement Service and send all of your eligible inventory to a single receive center or fulfillment center (see the Inventory placement exceptions section below). When the shipment arrives, it is divided and sent to different fulfillment centers for you. A per-item service fee applies.

If you have further questions feel free to let me know, but otherwise there is not an option to send product to only one FBA location that isn't subject to the fees mentioned.
