Account Health Rating and You

Good day Sellers! Account Health is incredibly important for your long-term success on Amazon and the best way to track it is the Account Health Rating (also known as AHR). The Account Health Rating (AHR) is a feature that helps monitor your account health based on your adherence to Amazon's selling policies but also takes into account the impact you have on your buyers. AHR considers factors such as the number of unresolved policy violations on your account at any given time, the relative severity of those violations, but also the positive experiences you create for your Buyers. You can review the Policies included in Account Health Rating help page that goes into detail on the policies that impact your AHR.

If you are looking to improve your AHR consider the following:

  • Maintain compliance with Amazon's policies: As a seller you are responsible to ensure that you comply both with Amazon's rules but also are aware of all laws, regulations, and expectations associated with your products and categories.
  • Address any policy violations or issues promptly: Ensuring that proactively review and take the appropriate actions to resolve any violations and negative feedback can reduce the long term impact of these events on your AHR. Ideally you should work to resolve most violations within six months or sooner.
  • Providing Great Customer Experiences: Ensuring that buyers continue to get high quality products and great customer service from you is not only the best practice to be a Top Amazon seller, but can impact your AHR.
  • Monitor the account health page regularly: Some issues are sometimes unavoidable, however ensuring that you are identifying emerging issues and challenges can help reduce their impact on your AHR.

You can learn more about how to best protect your Account Health and your Account Health Rating (AHR) on this Seller Central help page HERE. You can also find FAQ’s around AHR in this help page.

We do all of the above and our account health score has been stagnant for over two years. We hardly have any returns, ship on time, very minimal returns or claims. Our barrel cacti offerings are routinely "Amazons choice". Products are highly rated with customers singing our praises. Another Amazon oversight( cough, cough), eh Glenn? Our score should and needs to be much higher.

This is so terribly misleading I had to join the NSFE forums.

Everything you mentioned above ONLY accounts for 200 points on your AHR. That is IT. You cannot go above 200 by just being perfect and you shouldn't infer otherwise like this sounds.

The ONLY way to get more than a 200 score is to sell sell sell. If you sell lots of items constantly, you can buy yourself some wiggle-room to address issues. If you are a small seller and you are perfect, you will never get higher than 200-220, no matter what you do.

I desperately need help, my business has ground to a halt because of ONE customer who left a one star for my business as a seller, when in fact, the only issue they have is with the Amazon Return System.

Customer: I returned these unopened and have not received a refund. I had to pay to put them in one box because I was only give one label. and I also had to pay a shipping fee to you when I registered these to be returned.

1 - The items still have not been returned, they are in the mail. The refund is automatically applied when the item is returned.

2 - Amazon provides the shipping label and dictates to the customer must put both items in one box.

3 - The customer never contact me once.

Please remove this rating, as it is in regards to the Amazon Return System, not the Seller or the product.

Thank you for your help.
