utr verification, no paperwork is good enough for them
i'm being driven round the bend by these guys. first it was the letter of authorisation which i copied from their own example, now it seems that even tho i have returned the notice to complete self assessment tax return form with my utr on it, dated in april this year, which is on their list of acceptable docs, it still is being rejected.
online chat is not helping at all, and every time i submit its just coming back to me with the same cut and paste email from them.
i'm at my wits end. anyone have any ideas ?
thanks for reading.

You need to ask HMRC for a confirmation of your UTR document which they dont like providing but its basically the only document Amazon accept despite saying they accept other things

Let us know if HMRC provide one. I heard them say they are stopping it, which is why I switched back to paper notices. If they dig their heels in and refuse to supply one, then many of us will be in the same boat.
I do not know why the HMRC app just doesn't have a simple "request UTR doc" button. Would save us all a lot of hassle.

Call HMRC and ask for a self Assesment statement, I did it and arrived in the mail within a week.
I did the exact same thing going round and round and they accepted the statement for some reason.

It's ridiculous. My account is currently deactivated and in the next 30 days, I won't be able to use this website at all either. I've been banned. The only reason is that I was 'too late' although I ordered the document on time, but HMRC took a full month to send me the document because they had some printing issues. I called HMRC for the UTR Confirmation letter as that is the only letter they accepted, so please make sure to order the letter asap so you can get this over with because HMRC usually takes 2 weeks to deliver the letter, and avoid the trauma i'm facing now!

I used the statement and it passed. The statement shows how much you have paid to the HMRC which you can find online.
