Email from Amazon

Hi,

Has anyone else had an email today from Amazon saying congratulations on expanding your store to Amazon.fr, amazon.it and Amazon.es?

I don’t understand at all why I’ve got this email has I’ve always had these stores switched off

No, but yesterday, I noticed that a listing magically appeared on the Polish marketplace all by itself.

I deleted it immediately although fortunately it wasn't live as there was no price.

I used to make it a habit of checking all marketplaces at least weekly to ensure nothing has appeared but all seemed ok so I stopped. It's back to wasting my time again once a week.

They may have automatically decided to expand your listings across Europe. This is something you need to opt out of rather than opt in to. A crazy decision given the new GPSR regulations.

All marketplaces except UK are in holiday mode and I have international shipping disabled on the UK site.

If you don't want to sell internationally, you have to do both.
