I want to list a branded product such as Nivea, Dove, Colgate or other and it shows that i need to request approval for colgate branded. how is it possible to list the product on the existing listing and what documents will i need to get an approval or do i have to make a new listing altogether? also what documents would i need if i am making a completely new listing.

any help and guidance will be truely appreciated.

I am completely new to the amazon business so please help.

If you start the process it'll go one of two ways. Either it'll be an automatic okay, or they'll ask for an invoice showing a purchase of at least 10 units. If you provide the invoice then it is not an automatic yes - Amazon can still deny you.

Yes you would join the existing listing. You can effectively forget about creating a new listing for an existing top brand.

If a product is barcoded (as anything from Nivea, Dove or Colgate would be) you MUST list via the barcode on the product. It is against amazon policy to create a duplicate of an existing listing.

Often items like that are also gated until you can show a sales history, so you may need to start with other items.
