Amazon Holding Money For Longer Than The 90 Days They Allocate

Hi, on October 8th we recieved an email from Amazon saying our account has been suspended due to verification, We submitted all tghe information they asked for but got no reply. Our account has around £5,500.00 worth of funds in the account and we were told by Amazon that we had to wait 90 days since the date of the account closure to recived this payment, 90 days was completed on the 8th of January 2018 and since that date we have been contacting Amazon on a daily basis to get our funds released to us. First two weeks after the 8th we were repeatedly just told to email the payments team even after we had told said to them that we have sent numerous emails and had no reply not even a confirmation of reciept email. 3 weeks later we recieved a short reply from Amazon Payments saying they are looking into our account and will get back to us, Again another week passed and we recieved no reply and as we continued to contact Amazon it looked like they were making excuses to prolong holding our money as each time we rang we were told to either submit a plan of action even though we had told Amazon we are not looking to keep our account open after the money is released to us or submit verification details which we had already done numerous times or we were told to submit information for one of our products to prove authenticity again after we had told them we do not want to continue selling on the platform.

It has now been 36 days over the date they gave us written on a email and we are making no progress.

Can anyone give us any tips on how we can make any progress with Amazon or tell us if there is any other way to get our money released to us sooner as we need to pay our suppliers.
Thank You.

Amazon need to verify your account and/or check the authenticity documents asked for before they can pay you out - it sounds like at the moment your account is not verified (the authenticity invoice is probably part of the verification they need).Even if you are not intending to keep the account open it still needs to pass verification in order for them to pay you.

Ask them EXACTLY what they require now to get you through verification - then you can draw your money and even close the account if you wish - although if you do that you will not be able to open another one.

I’m having the same issue! my fault was the i didn’t reply to email within 24 hrs during the christmas holidays and got punished.

I rectified the issue and bought the defect rate down dramatically but know i get told new reason and for not releasing funds.

How did you resolve the issue ?

We are having the same issue, they requested continuously the same documents and even docuements that dont exist under our country law.

We got all this confirmed and had sent them all possible documents, stamped by an official notarial service for two months now. Since then not even one response from Amazon, even no robot anymore.

They have blocked over 100 000 EUR from us for 6 months now… Insolvency of many sellers seems to be their aim so they can have the monopoly in e-commerce.

The reason this is being held was discussed in detail on your previous post My payment is on hold As Adrian says unless you resolve the authenticity issue Amazon will not release funds to you.

An interesting point in this recent post with relevance to your existing similar original post is that you are now claiming Amazon are witholding 100,000 EURO’s where previously it was £7,286 for that you claimed you provided Amazon with proof of purchase by way of receipts (till receipts? not invoices) from HMV, Tesco and Asda ? That relate to CD/DVD media this is highly ambiguous

i would say to all sellers if they can prove that the goods that they are selling our 100% after the 90 day period and you have confirm your bank details .then i would say amazon have no legal right to with hold payments and take it to small claims court .and see what happens
