Feedback Needed: Assigning Selling Roles (Brand Registry)

Hello Sellers!

We’d love your feedback on the “Manage Selling Accounts” tool in Brand Registry. Your insights will help us enhance the experience for everyone. Here are a few questions to guide your responses:

• Are you familiar with how to link a selling account to your brand?

• Have you encountered any issues when linking your selling account (i.e assigning Selling Roles)? If yes, what were the issues?

• Would you have any recommendation on how to improve the process?

Feel free to share any challenges or successes you've experienced. Looking forward to your feedback!

One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced with Brand Registry is tied to when we first started selling on Amazon. At that time, Brand Registry didn’t exist, so many of our ASINs were created without a designated brand. Now, as Amazon actively encourages sellers to protect their ASINs, we’re unable to retroactively update these older listings to reflect our brand. The reasoning provided is that such changes might cause confusion, but as I’ve explained to Seller Support, I’m not altering the product or its details—only linking the ASINs to my store to properly protect them. Allowing sellers to update old ASINs to include their brand would help significantly in maintaining listing integrity and avoiding hijacking by unauthorized sellers. If Brand Registry could address this issue and provide a streamlined solution, it would be incredibly beneficial. I’m currently still working through the process of trying to update my listings and remove unauthorized sellers, but this remains a time-consuming and frustrating hurdle.

To assign selling roles was an absolute nightmare. Brand support told us to do X, doing that didn't work and we were asked to contact seller support, who asked us to do Y, which didn't work. They then advised that we should contact brand support, who told us to do the same thing. This was a merry go round that kept on going around making us dizzy.

It seems, neither really knew what to do and just tried to brush us of, we persisted and asked for escalation, eventually it got sorted.

Seems, support don't know how to navigate assigning selling roles.

Like everything else, something so simple, shouldn't be so difficult to do.
