A Child ASIN was separated from parent ASIN, without any notification.
A child ASIN was separated from parent ASIN, without any policy or performance notification. In back-end, it's still connected to the parent, but on amazon.com, it's active but a stand-alone listing, meantime, other sizes and colors are still together, the choice for child ASIN of the parent listing is vacant. It is significantly damaging our customer experience, product identity, sales of the child ASIN , specially during peak season.
A case had been submitted 15 days ago, but still "Action Needed By Amazon".
Case ID: 16586283731

Hi @Seller_fMP1gWtr7mEHV,
You might be able to resolve this issue yourself by using a flat file (partial update). The key columns to fill out are:
- item_sku: Your product's SKU
- update_delete: Partial update
- relationship_type: Variation
- variation_theme: The variation theme used by the other child products
- parent_sku: The SKU of the parent product
- parent_child: Child
Depending on the chosen variation_theme, you need to fill out additional columns like size_name, color_name, or other attributes specific to your product's variation. These fields ensure that your child product aligns properly with the parent.
I’m based in Germany and looked up a flat file template I had available for the German marketplace. The column names might vary slightly depending on your product category and region, so be sure to download the flat file template specific to your marketplace and product type. Review the worksheet with column definitions carefully to ensure everything is formatted exactly as Amazon requires.
If you’re not familiar with flat files, you can find helpful resources in Seller Central. Keep in mind that incorrectly filled flat files can unintentionally overwrite important data or further disrupt your listing. This isn’t to discourage you, but just to highlight the importance of filling out the file carefully.
I hope this helps!
