Brand Qualification Application

Hi, good afternoon.

I'm trying to list my own branded product, but I don't have a trademark for my brand. I'm 100% sure that my brand isn't already in use on Amazon.

I'm really frustrated by this as I seem to have problems with every single step of selling on this platform, and now I can't even list products under my own brand and logo because I don't get approved.

The first time I applied to sell under my brand, I got told it was already in use. I then reopened the case and just a few minutes later I got exactly the same response, as usual with Amazon support representatives, never in any case I opened I had a reasonable human-like response.

I then applied again, and after a few days of waiting I'm told I can't open duplicate cases. I honestly don't know what Amazon wants me to do, I can't open new cases because that would be considered "duplicate", but I also can't reopen the original case because it has been marked as "answered" for more than 5 days.

I really hope someone from Amazon can help me with this since it's really frustrating to have a product ready to be produced, with detailed photos of both the packaging and the product and not being able to place an order before the Chinese new year.

You should now be able to make listings under the brand "WEST PEARL". Please note you need to ensure you are using the brand name exactly with matching case as well. If you have any issues with creating a listing please let me know here with your details and I will see what further options exist. Thank you.

Hi there @Seller_5APqAbElVQEOV,

I'm sorry you are having difficulties with your listings and this Brand. If you don't have a Trademark or an application it is not possible to use Brand Registry however you may be able to get approval to list products if you meet the Brand Name Policy. However you may have an issue if someone else used that Brand or if your Branded products don't meet Amazon requirements.

If you provide your most recent Seller Support Case so I can review and see what options exist. Thank you for your understanding.

Seller support answered, telling me I need to send a new application from scratch. I already did, although it is kind of frustrating considering I already got approved before.

This last application's case number is 17111459441, although it hasn't been answered yet.

If you can, I'd appreciate you taking a look at it and telling me if anything can be done.

First of all, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to reply and helping me out with this. I really appreciate it.

I just got an update from the case that says the brand I want to create a listing for is restricted and that Amazon isn't accepting applications to create new ASINs with it.

I truly don't understand how this works, first I was getting error 5665 and now error 5461. If I applied for the brand in the first place, and to the best of my knowledge, no one was selling under it before, how come I'm restricted from selling under my own brand?

Please take a look at it if you can and tell me if there's something I can do. I didn't reapply yet since I don't think sending the exact same application again will lead to a different outcome. The case number is 17111459441.

Sorry for not answering your message earlier, I was on vacation the last weeks.

After trying to create a new listing with the brand I'm not getting the error anymore. In case I have any further issues regarding brand authorization errors I'll make sure to let you know but it seems everything is already sorted out.
