Extremely Concerning Unauthorized Access, Amzn Seller Account Security Event Today - Reset your PWs and Accounts, Use Two Factor!
I got an email this morning from Amzn informing me that someone tried to disable MFA (Two Step Verification) on our Amazon Seller Account while my wife and I were in bed. There is NOBODY who would have had authorized access to even get to such settings to try to turn off MFA in our seller account.
The worst part is, this suggests someone has either our passwords to our AMZN seller account, there is an Chrome browser security vulnerability that's gone unmitigated or it's an internal trigger from an AMZN employee. We have taken corrective action on our end to prevent further attempts to gain unauthorized access to our seller account.
Someone triggered this MFA change and it wasn't us. And the email is from the verified AMZN email account, it has the blue check mark.
We haven't even listed our first items yet for sale. But we do know IT Sec/Cloud Sec... and this shouldn't be happening. EVER.
We welcome any contact from Amzn's Security Department. This needs to be investigated.
