G-tin exemption

I received this message from amazon when I applied for a G-tin exemption on my branded private label product

''Your request has been denied, as we found that the products listed below already exist in Amazon's catalogue. This is a violation of our selling policies and can result in your ASIN creation or selling privileges being suspended.''

You already created a listing for that product. If you deleted it in the meantime, just go to "Add a product", put the ASIN and anything will show up exactly how you left it.

Btw. why would you apply for a GTIN exemption for YOUR PL product? That leaves the door open to hijackers. Using a UPC from GS1 attributed to YOU, exactly like in your "Legal Entity" in your seller account gives you a huge protection against hijackers.
