its because you pay for professional. Professional is a business account.

You should have a sole proprietorship registered with the government if you are self employed and running a business.

If not, it is individual account for you.

in canada i don’t have the option sole proprietor. They always refuse my individual registration! It’s an infinite loop. They always escalate this and i receive automate email from bot. Amazon seller support is so painful! I have attach some automate email i have receive multiple times!

When @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7mentioned individual account, he meant your setting within Amazon. You can have either a professional account, or individual. If you are paying $39.99 a month, you have a Pro account.

You need to either register your business with the government to get a business number (easily done) or downgrade your Amazon account to Individual in the Settings.

Good luck to you.

If you read in the note Amazon sent you, under Sole Proprietor, it says "registered with the local authorities." That is what gets you "a number." It's quite easy to do, just contact the CRA.

When you do register and send in paperwork, make sure everything matches EXACTLY, from the address having Street or St. on everything, not two different. If you are Robert, don't have Bob on any, etc. I have seen stories here where that messes up verification. Make sure any bank statements info matches your ID. With mine, I opened a bank account with a business name to send them.

I wish I could be more definite help. When I signed up decades ago it was SO much easier. I cannot remember what I chose in the screen shot you have here when I re-verified. And they currently have mine all messed up, they insist on using a number instead of the business name I use. And somehow I got verified, but I think it might be partly due to being "grandfathered" in, since none of my ID has me doing business as "35" But since it's working I am not messing with it. Amazon is too glitchy.

If you reply further in a "support" case, I would copy their list of types of business (and only that part, they get confused easy with too many words, and some are bots) and mention that both the Sole P and State owned from their own list, are not present in the drop down, with maybe a shot of that drop down box. Keep it SUPER simple.

You are correct, Seller "support" is often not much help, and way too often give bad advice. If you feel your account is going to be deactivated in any case, maybe try downgrading the account to Individual, then choosing Individual? I know you lose some of the perks of the Pro account, but you can always upgrade later.

I notice at the end of their note to you, it says Amazon.uk. Are you applying via the correct page? Just tossing out spitballs.
