Urgent: Seller Account Issue - Invalid Card Error

Hello Amazon Seller Support,

My account has been locked due to an issue with an invalid credit card. When I attempt to add a new credit card to my account, I receive the error message 'There was a problem. Please ensure your card details are correct,' even though I am entering my card details correctly. Additionally, my previously linked cards are also correct. I don't know why this error is occurring. Kindly resolve this issue on my seller account and unlock my seller account, please!!!

Best regards,

This isn't Amazon, do you have a case number? Maybe a Mod will jump in and help.

Are you using a debit card or a valid credit card?

Hello @Seller_7eDbqKn3F2kGh,

Thank you for reaching out. If you have received an error message about your credit card, it is important to update your credit card information as soon as possible.

Check the below information related to your credit card:

  • Is the credit card valid?
  • Is there a minimum charge amount?
  • Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
  • Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
  • Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
  • Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
  • Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?
  • Until the card verification problem is resolved, Amazon won't be able to process any payments for your account.

We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.

I also see that you mentioned it is a debit card. It must be a true credit card.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Have a great weekend.

Cheers,

Micah

in addition, i recommend updating your credit card on the BUYER side of your account first, wait 30-60 minutes, and THEN update it on your Seller Account.

This actually worked for me last time I needed to update my card on file.

Aside from what Micah from Amazon said, specific circumstances like the bank that issued the credit card can have problems such card being closed for online payments. The best thing to do in those situations is to speak with your bank's customer representative to be sure that there isn't anything that will prevent Amazon from charging your credit card.
