UPS lost our package
UPS has lost a package which we delivered to one of its Access Points. The tracking has been showing for several weeks that the package is awaiting pick-up from the Access Point, but we have visited the Access Point and they say they don't have it.
Because we booked the delivery through Amazon's partnering service with UPS, UPS say that we can't make a claim - Amazon must do so.
Amazon is showing the package as "receiving" even though the package has never got as far as a UPS hub, let alone an Amazon fulfilment centre.
Assuming that the package never arrives, I have asked Amazon how long it will be before I can lodge a claim/request a reconciliation with them - ie will the status ever change from "receiving."
Despite several attempts, no one at Amazon seems capable of answering this question. Does anyone else know?

We are in the same position. The parcel was not scanned in by a driver and UPS says without some kind of collection code from the driver there is nothing we can do.

If UPS have not made a collection scan, then they have not collected it from the access point.
If they have not collected it from the collection point it must be...

Speak to UPS again and get a POD/bill of lading from then, when you're eventually able to make this claim, amazon will ask you for this.
get this as soon as possible as they only keep records for a certain period of time.
And try and open a case with Amazon to investigate this delivery

I have numerous incidents with UPS where the tracking says one thing but reality is another. I have a package at the moment that shows delayed delivery yet Amazon have already checked it in and are now half way through receiving it. If Amazon status shows receiving I would check your stock levels as it is probably delivered and being unpacked

As an update, I did eventually get a credit from Amazon without having to go through UPS. But it was a lot of hard work and took perseverance!
