Termination of my Samsung Product Sales Rights

Hi, @Blake_Amazon , I have been selling Samsung-branded products on Amazon.com. I believe I have always adhered to Amazon's principles and policies while serving my customers. But Amazon send me an e mail saying i would not allowed to sell Samsung brand anymore on October 31,2023. Amazon closed my listings on November 1,2023. Amazon didn't indicate any reason. My hundres of Samsung brand products are now in Fulfillment Centers. This decision has placed my company in a significant financial predicament, as we had invested a substantial amount of capital, and the sales of these products were a crucial source of revenue, especially during the holiday season. We have a Letter of Authorization from the distributor of Samsung to sell their products and invoices.Thank you for your time and attention. We look forward to hearing from Amazon’s Community Managers as soon as possible.

Do you have a LOA from Samsung? Brands have been going hard to stop 3rd party sellers on marketplaces. Just because you have an LOA and invoices from a distributor, doesn't mean you have the brands permission.

If you can, I would try to recall all your product before Amazon says you can't.

Unfortunately, a LOA does not override anything.

One time I had 700 units of Chinese Floating Lanterns on the way to Amazon FBA. While it was on the way to Amazon FBA, Amazon declared it a dangerous good. When it arrived, it was immediately placed as defective. 700 units lost !

I had to dispose of them because I was not in the same country.

I would abandon efforts to sell the Samsung brand.

I think it should be informed at least 30 days in advance. Sellers are advised to send products to warehouses, and listings are closed overnight.

From my understanding a distributor and the brand itself are two different entities. Always go directly to the brand owner itself. I am surprised you got away with that one for any length of time.

Got away with what? Samsung doesn't offer their products directly to retailers on a wholesale basis, you have to go through their authorized dealer channels.

Amazon taught you a valuable lesson today. Never put all your eggs in one basket. Amazon controls who sells and what they sell, if they don't want you selling Samsung , well then sell Apple.

I would not look for the mods to offer much help. Amazon has done this to others. I feel your pain amazon is not the partner they claim to be. Get your stuff before you can't. Rent a storage unit if you have to. We built a warehouse because of all the stories from other sellers that have been hurt by amazon. We wish you the best of luck.

Hello @Seller_7wXlAwGDbnwR1,

Michelle at Amazon here. I understand that you are no longer able to sell Samsung items. If you have a letter of authorization directly from Samsung, I would ask them to add you to their Brand Registry as an authorized reseller. If you do not have a letter directly from Samsung, then that would be your next steps. This does not guarantee that you will be able to sell as some items are restricted to specific sellers at the request of the larger brands, and then there is nothing further we can do, but I would try this route.

Regards,

Michelle
