Increasing customer frauds on amazon

Recently we noticed that customer frauds on amazon have increased significantly. Our products range around 4000-6000. Customer just report "Wrong Item" and then amazon schedule "Replacement order" for them. Then after replacement order is delivered, customer do same thing to get "Refund".

In the end, after some days amazon delivers us 2 trash items worth 10-20Rs against the original and replacement orders. While the profit margin on product category is only around 400-500. Single such fraud incident cause loss of over 10,000.

There are other ecommerce platforms too where we sell but this happens only on amazon. Why is amazon not taking any protection measures to prevent occurance of such frauds by the customers? Amazon delivers them expensive items weighed 8-10kg and in return pickup amazon blindly picks up 100-200gm trash from the customer.

Shouldn't amazon verify genuinity of items before taking return pickup from the customer ? Why doesnt amazon introduce protection measures like open box delivery ? How can sellers survive on amazon if amazon will not take any measures to pretect sellers from such frauds ? In the name of customer centricity amazon allows customers to conduct fraud on the sellers happily.

Yes You are absolutely right. Same thing happened with me two months back...instead of two RO booster pump weighing around 1800 gram per unit. I received just two nos. of 10gram clothe pieces...How the ATS partner collected it there were no relevance in 1800 gram PUMP and 10 gram clothes piece...

Amazon is loosing our trust earlier it used to happen these incidents in flipkart..But now here also the same story

SAME here just before bbd instead of 15 kgs of sewing machine received phone cover of 100 gm for 5 pieces so stopped selling through easyship

Same here, customer returned just 10-20 Rs item and we ended up loosing 1000 Rupees. In addition to this customer posted 1 star review, now fighting with community help and seller central support but to no respite.

I can feel your pain, although magnitude of loss in my case is 1/10 of yours. I recently received a face towel that hardly cost 30 inr in return of my product. If this keep happening how the big seller coping with this? Buyer can easily game the Amazon and actual loss if for seller. I hope your filed the SAFE T claim.

These are not customers. They are competitors (big sellers) who hire "buyers" for a price to do all this and kill the competition. Amazon has all the technology to check the big sellers and this malpractice but they don't care about it at all. Plenty of fake buyers are available in social media groups who give negative reviews, raise inauthentic claims, replace products etc.

Yes, its main issues. in these types of cases, we found that 90% scams like products changing activities happenings by amazon delivery boy, because you can check details that 20% above orders are changed but not delivered to buyer, and also when customers are returning products than amazon delivery person taking their usable thinks and returning scrap items.

solution for these frauds

  1. Change Logistics from Amazon to others like, ecom, Delhivery, etc.
  2. Change FBM in self-ship method, (Only Prepaid orders)
  3. Use FBA method. amazon will handle all types of these frauds' activity.

and sad part is amazon issues refund without asking us. when you try to complain about that they say don't worry file safe t claims and that too rejected on multiple occasions.

here is what happens and i think is cause of fraud

customer orders when the delivery boy reaches to the customer they provide offer to cancel the order and give them the same order at lower rate after cancelling they put some cheap material inside a box and reprint label on the box and return the product so the delivery boy earns money from it and customer also benefits only ones at loss are amazon and seller this is what i heard from 1 of the known person it happens a lot on other platforms like new ones also

customer orders when the delivery boy reaches to the customer they provide offer to cancel the order and give them the same order at lower rate after cancelling they put some cheap material inside a box and reprint label on the box and return the product so the delivery boy earns money from it and customer also benefits only ones at loss are amazon and seller this is what i heard from 1 of the known person it happens a lot on other platforms like new ones also
