New charge method gets verified and deducts charge, but still says its unable to change

So I received a new credit card from my bank which had the updated expiry date,and the rest details are same as the card that was currently added in Amazon as Charge Method. When I replace the Charge Method to the new card, it shows a banner on the top of the screen that the card has been verified and I can also see £1 deduction charge in my bank account. However, when I visit the home screen again, it says that the card is unverified and shows ‘Unable to charge’ error and I am unable to access the seller central.

I’ve tried replacing the Charge Method to my new card multiple times and it does the same thing over and over again, which is:

  • Shows a confirmation banner at the top of screen that card has been verified.
  • Deducts £1 as a charge fee.
  • Still shows that ‘Unable to charge’ banner when I revisit the central.

I’ve doubled checked everything and all the information of the card is correct. I’ve also contacted my bank regarding this and they said everything is fine from their end and I should contact seller support on this matter.

I don’t understand why does it deducts £1 charge from my account when I update the Charge Method but still says that it’s Unable to change. This is the error I’m getting:

I’ve contacted seller support but they haven’t come back to me yet.

Can someone help me out with this if possible, I can’t access my seller central.

Have you added it to all EU sites as well as UK?
If its new Have you activated it by using it in a store ?
