My listing got randomly deleted.

Hi,

I recently tied up a few hundred quid into a product. It is yet to arrive, however, I was delightfully treated by Amazon today with an email notifying me of the ASINs deletion.

In the email it said 'Your product(s) has been removed from sale due to a potential safety and/or non-compliance issue.', then said a 'Declaration of Conformity' needs to be uploaded to reinstate it, along with 'Test reports to back up the DoC', images and a user manual. This obviously isn't something I can provide as an OA seller.

Its quite a bummer and I'll lose money on this. Is this a common ocurence, or have I just got unlucky? How do poeple avoid this kind of situation? Is there any way to predict whether or not the listing will get deleted? Kindly advise.

Many Thanks

OA seller I assume is online arbitrage.

So for a start, were you listing these as New? As they should have been listed as Used, Like New if purchased from another online retailer.

Unfortunately - what you are coming across is a risk of doing OA. You need to provide a Declaration of Confirming (which normally your supplier would be able to easily provide) but obviously, its not possible if you are buying from retail.

You advertised the product before it was in your hands error number 1.

Ah an OA seller no such thing really as you have now found out best quit now as only down a bit.

Its quite a bummer and I'll lose money on this. Is this a common ocurence, or have I just got unlucky? How do poeple avoid this kind of situation? Is there any way to predict whether or not the listing will get deleted? Kindly advise.

If you try to avoid Amazons rules then this is a common occurance think your self lucky that you have not sold 10 of these paid your "supplier" sent them out then amazon declared against you then all that money would be wasted too.

People buy from a reputable wholesaler and list the item correctly adding all required documentation.

If you continue on th OA route this will happen on a regular basis as you are basically breaking amazons rules by selling as new where as they are sold to you by a retailer and therefore technically used second hand.

Take a long ard look at seller universty and decide if you want to continue with amazon. Amazon is a hard taskmaster BUT if you follow the rules and there are a lot of them its a great place to sell.

Oh and stop watching get rich quick videos spawning the bad advice that your following.
