One child variation size turned into it's own listing without me doing anything?
We have 3 sizes as child variations under a parent listing. We have been selling this under our own registered brand for 3 years and have always been in stock. Somehow, JUST the medium size has split into it's own listing and is no longer part of the parent. The reviews have been split so now the parent listing has 600+ and the child has 300+ instead of the 900+ we had when they were combined.
How do I get these merged back? Why did it happen, when I never made the change and I am the only seller of these products (registered brand)?
I opened a case but no reply yet: Case ID 15113765921

Hi Glenn,
I was able to identify the cause, which is that an internal Amazon team decided to override my size description of each child ASIN to the same value of "1 Count (Pack of 1)" and this caused the size variation theme to be in conflict because, well, they are all the same exact size description. This caused the child ASINs to split into their own listing. I had multiple cases open and closed one to resolve it with just the size description issue. Once the size descriptions were fixed by seller support on the back end, I was able to re-merge the child ASINs.
Thanks,
Mesa Trading

Amazon Retail. I would bet if you check to see if the medium size is in a variation family you will see that it has a new parent ASIN and is the only variation in the family. To fix this you will just have to open a case with Seller Support to have them remove the size medium from that new parent variation and go back and forth for weeks on end until one of the Seller Support staff actually reads your case and then takes the time to see that you are the brand owner and it makes no sense to have one size split off on its own. Could take a week, could be something you're arguing for the rest of your time on Amazon. Good luck.

So I decided to try and combine them back together using the product via upload spreadsheets. All that was added was a child-parent PartialUpdate referring to the same SKU/ASIN and...
Now it is all broken. All 3 have become their own standalone listings with their own review count. All of them has stranded inventory now. How is this a thing... Amazon loses too because now they get no commission from all my sales lost. I have multiple cases with Seller support and they all just give me a copy-pasted response about nonsense "understanding my frustration" and that they decided to do nothing.... ???

Try to find a Mod that seems to help with Variation listing problems lately and tag them to help with your case number.

Hi @Seller_mUE1IJsU3nm3r,
Thanks for reaching out with your concerns with your Variation. I've reviewed your case and it looks like you closed your case before Seller Support could respond and upon reviewing your ASIN it appears the Variation is currently unified. Are you still having this issue? If so I would recommend you reach out to Seller Support and reach out to me here if you are unable to get resolution. Thank you for your understanding.

I apologize for this being off-topic, but can you share what you do to get so many reviews in such little time?

it went under review, and when it was reinstated it was seperate, you have to rebuild the listing.
