Driving Me Nuts!

I purchased a company and have been trying to get the Amazon account that came with it back in good standing. But I am going in circles and getting very, very frustrated with Amazon's lack of support.

Here is the problem. Account is deactivated. It's stuck on bank account verification. The bank account tied to the account is the old owners account. This account is no longer valid (has since been closed). There is a button to replace the default bank account however when I click that, it says my access is forbidden. I am using the one and only admin account so I know I should have permissions. I suspect it has to do with the account deactivation. So I'm kind of in a loop here. Account is deactivated because of bank but I can fix because bank is wrong but I can't change because account is deactivated.

I attempt to use Amazon support but the only option they give me is to submit an appeal for reactivation. I do that and immediately the case is closed saying this is the wrong channel to use for this. (No idea why they allow me to waste my time opening the case then).

Anyone have any suggestions?

Amazon accounts can generally not be sold or transferred. If there was a legit business purchase, an account transfers must be done through Amazon support, you can't just start changing information.

Hello @Seller_KH1GcwiLQYpLD

Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues you have seen recently. As stated in the thread, purchasing an account and changing the information to match yours is against policy. If there is a change in ownership, we would advise on creating a new account so the business can be properly associated to the current owner. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to resolve this if you purchased the account.

We do encourage you to share any messaging or case information you have relating to the current issues so we can review and gain a better understand of the requirements that need to be met.

Best,

Atlas
