Change Brand Names On Existing Listings

I have asked Amazon and done some research, found out that you cannot change the brand name on any of your existing listings as Amazon do not allow this.

Some products that we sell now have a trademarked brand name and I would love to be able to apply that brand to my listings so I can add A+ content and videos.

Is there any form of workaround for this other than making a whole new listing? The issue is that I do not want to lose the history of my listings, such as sales, reviews, Amazon's Choice etc.

Thanks in advance!

It means a new listing, but the problem there is that it would have to be a different EAN, which would be wrong as the trademarked item already has an EAN - unless the manufacturer has applied a new EAN to the trademarked item? So I think you're stuffed

Hi,

I am in same situation as you, last year in Nov I was able to change my brand name from generic to my current brandname by deleting the listing (you wont lose your feedback and rating) wait for 24 hours and add the listing back using same sku and EAN and I successfully changed and this was suggested to me by amazon support.

I will try again but this time I already have brand name on my listing so it will be changing brand name A to brand name B not sure the same process will work but I will give it a go.

the issue here is that Brand Name is a frozen ASIN attribute - that is, something attached to the catalogued ASIN that cannot be changed, much like the Product ID/barcode.

In order to have a different Brand Name you will have to create a new ASIN, which of course runs the risk of error 8541 happening as you will be using the same product info as before.

Honeslty for the troble involved in changing this you're better of just leaving it. High risk for little return

Hi @Maja_Amazon,

I tried update my brand name however I get error 8541 I have been told to create new listing with new ASIN so does this mean I have to start all over again and lose all my reviews which sound bit harsh.

Any other way of doing the brand name updating? Like I said I was able to change in past but this time round I cant change it.

Thanks
