Amazon blocked EU listings - You need to enter responsible person information

Hello,

We have had our listings blocked in the EU. Amazon is asking for responsible person information. We entered the responsible person contact information several years ago and everything was fine. So I don't know why this happened.

I had to re-validate all SKUs for each EU country. They are all showing valid now on the manage compliance page. However, not all listings re-instated, only some.

The ones that didn't reinstate still show as 'Inactive - blocked' and when I drill down into them, it says 'You need to enter EU responsible person'. However, the responsible person's information is valid for these SKUs.

I have been speaking with Amazon Seller Support for 3 weeks. They keep coming back with generic scripts and not reading what I have written in the messages. When I ring them they say they will escalate to an internal team and the loop continues.

So far I have tried editing the listing and uploading the flat file inventory loader. However, this throws an 'error 6039 You need to obtain approval to sell products in this restricted sub-category'. I checked and we don't have any limitations on the listings, I think this is because it's still 'incorrectly' asking for the responsible person information.

I have also deleted the listing and re-added 24 hours later. It's still the same issue.

I am getting frustrated with the lack of assistance from Amazon support. Has anybody else faced this problem? Do you have any ideas on how I can resolve this?

Thanks

Hello,

Support has worked on this case and several others for the different EU marketplaces since 10/04. They are not listening to what I am saying and the issue is not resolved.

Are you able to transfer or ask the captive team to contact me?

Hello @Seller_dTjJYGXpNfYGK,

Your case has already been transferred to the relevant team. I also see that yesterday they provided an answer, and you were sent the next steps to follow in case 9710285112:

"To reactivate or make an explicit edit of their offer to unblock it, and remove the gating issues to unblock their offers"

Please let us know if the issue is solved once you take the action above.

Regards,

Sakura

Hi Sakura,

If you check the case notes, you will see I have tried this dozens of times already. This is not the root cause of the issue.

The case has been open for over 5 weeks and most of the responses are duplicated. It's just going around in a loop.

Are we able to escalate this?

Kind regards

@Seller_dTjJYGXpNfYGK,

I checked the notes, and both me and the other team were aware that you had done it. However, here the SPS Team is asking you to do it again as your case was passed to another team that was working on resolving the issue. As I understand it, they made some changes, and they asked you to follow this step again so the system would detect the changes made by the internal Team.

Please follow these steps and let me know about the outcome.

In case the issue still persists, I will contact the relevant team again to follow up on troubleshooting.

Regards,

Sakura
