Amazon account level reserve keeps going up
I understand that Amazon keep a certain amount of money back from my sales to cover any potential refunds. However, over the last few months, a number of disbursements have failed that have been added to my account level reserve.
I have explained to Seller Support the following:
You have told me: "13 March . . . you had account level reserve of £225.23 . . . for the settlement period 16/04/2025 - 23/04/2025 . . . you had account level reserve of £288.06 . . . for the next settlement period 23/04/2025 - 30/04/2025 . . . you had £415.00 as account level reserve." It has now increased again to £490.74. You keep defaulting on payments, so it keeps going up; it doesn't appear to have anything to do with my sales figures.
Their response:
"we cannot disclose the specific calculation methods as they are part of Amazon's risk mitigation systems"
Surely if they cannot explain how the figure was calculated, they cannot guarantee it hasn't been miscalculated? Is there not a law that would require them to be transparent about this, or can they simply hold my money indefinitely and continue to cancel payments without reason?

You should check that your bank is still verified. I had this a while ago where automatic disbursements just stopped happening and my reserve just kept getting bigger. It was only fixed once my bank was "reverified".
I didn't receive any notification about this, I effectively had to figure the problem out for myself.
Worth checking if everything is still verified, as this was the problem for me.
