IOSS -VAT for EU sales

Will the buyers see the listed price and then see the VAT exclusive price at checkout?
Do we need to increase our prices?

Any VAT due on a product can only be added once Amazon know the destination delivery address, as someone in Germany could order an item on DE for delivery to USA for example.

We have, mainly to cover the extra faffing about that needs to be done.

Speaking to Ebay ,they have said no need to increase prices if your prices included UK 20% VAT previously.

Thinking about it, I can’t see a way we can apply the correct VAT codes to each marketplace, for each ASIN. We have a range of over 20K ASINS from all sorts of different categories. I would need to know/be able to check the correct vat codes for each country, impossible, would take months and months.

Yes, much better to add 20-25% and forget it, most common countries are around 20% anyway

how is ebay doing it differently?

SO Amazon will pay the European VAT on behalf of the buyer. We still get the same list price as before , so why increase prices? Or will there be some fee for us to pay?

Does anyone know what information we need to pass to click and drop? I know we pass the IOSS number - but what else?

All got a sale from EU on Amazon ES.

What Amazon did is took my final price and deducted spanish VAT for both item and shipping cost.

Provided me with a IOSS number and deemed a legislation as EU Deemed Reseller as I sold for <150Euro.

I had a tax STANDARD set-up on my listing.

I am using click & drop and will see how they are dealing with it and update you.

Whilst we’re talking about prices:

It says your prices should include the VAT applicable in the country you are listing on. I’m sure previously Amazon said you should list with UK VAT and then when the sale occurs, Amazon would replace that with the “correct” VAT based on the destination delivery country.
