How to tell the difference between FBA and FBM listings on-site

Hi all, I'm new at this so working my way through understanding how everything works. So I have two issues.

1. How do I tell an FBA listing apart from an FBM one if they have the same ASIN

2. Why would a variation suddenly have a different ASIN from its FBA version?

We have both FBA and FBM listings. The products are differentiated via -FBA at the end of the SKU.

When I look at the "Manage Inventory" page, we have the same ASIN for both versions of the product. As far as I can tell, the only way to really see which product is on which listing is by going through seller central to view the listing from there.

I have several products with multiple color variations. On the FBM version the Silver variation is the only one that has a different ASIN and Amazon isn't letting me set it as a child variation with the FBM listing as it keeps telling me it is interfering with the FBA version...I'm not sure how to go about fixing this so figured the first step is to understand how these relationships work.

Thank you for your help!

Are you trying to tell by looking at the product offers on the product detail page? If so, you can look for the words "sold by" and "shipped by" If it's an FBM offer it will be sold by and shipped by the same seller. If it's FBA then it will be "shipped by Amazon"

If you're trying to look at your inventory and tell if an offer is FBA or FBM---

check the 'available qty' column. If you can edit it - it's an FBM offer.

Check the FNSKU column. If it's empty it's an FBM offer.
