Selling on Amazon US
Hello,
I’ve been selling on the UK market and recently received some emails from Amazon promoting the option to sell on multiple markets, so I’ve started considering it.
Can I use my existing listing and make it available to the US market by shipping items locally to the US, so that FBA can handle it fast and deliver quickly? In that way, I’ll be having 1 listing, however the items will be stored separately - some in the UK and some in the USA.
Are there any specifics in regards to importing items to the US? I didn’t encounter anything specific when shipping from China to the UK, however perhaps US is different.
Thank you, all!

I would suggest that before you even consider storing stock in the USA, you fully understand your commitments tax wise first.
They are fairly complicated, due to different taxes etc in each state.

There will be many issues - from getting an account approved in the US, to also needing product liability insurance that jointly names Amazon on the policy as indemnified (I forget the wording).
I’d suggest trying to sell direct imported Chinese goods into the US with FBA will rank about a 10 out of 10 in complexity compared to probably a 5 or 6 out of 10 to doing it in the UK.
