Competitive Price not even accurate
Is anyone else having issues with competitive pricing? We sell some pens which to meet competitive price we had to sell with a minimum order quantity of 2, which was fine as they are quite cheap so customers were fine with this. Since they removed minimum order, our sales have gone from £250 a day to one or 2 sales a day at £1.99. Big impact.
When we knew this was going to be discontinued we opened a case for them to sort out the competitive pricing, because we are selling them for £1.99 + £1.15 postage (exact price we are charged from RM including surcharges, and the competition are selling them for £1.99 + £1.95, or the other website in question is selling them for £1.99 + £4.95 postage. But because the delivery is not getting added until the checkout they are ignoring the delivery on all the competition yet not ignoring ours, making it impossible for any sellers on the listing to reach buy box without making a loss.
So the only reason we are not getting the buy box sales is because the competitive price is flawed.
The scripted responses are always the same (over a month now) that they have checked and it is correct (even though i'm being very clear re them actually checking out the delivery costs), and lower our price, or telling me we may not be eligible for other reasons, but we have had buy box the entire time until the minimum order quantity was removed a couple of weeks ago so that isn't an issue.
This can't be just affecting my sales?

Yes, I'm suffering from the exact same issue. We sell our own brand of snacks and so in most SKUs are the only seller on Amazon, so the competitive prices must be coming from somewhere else on the internet... however we can't find them?
Unless you take into account wholesale sellers... is Amazon allowed to include B2B in their calculations for D2C prices? That just doesn't seem lawful.
