Pending order over 3 weeks?

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out with a query and would really appreciate any assistance you can provide. I'm currently facing a situation where I've sold an item through FBA, but the order has remained in a pending status for over three weeks now.
I took the initiative to contact Amazon regarding this matter, and I received the following response from their team: "We have thoroughly examined the situation and can confirm that all our systems are operating as intended. Please note that we initiate the shipping process once we have verified payment with the buyer. It's important to ensure that valid proof of payment is provided during the payment validation phase. Failure to provide such proof within this cycle will lead to an automatic cancellation of the order by Amazon. Rest assured, any orders that encounter payment-related issues undergo a swift and automatic investigation, resulting in timely cancellations where necessary. This proactive approach is aimed at effectively addressing and mitigating any potential inventory-related concerns."
I'm hoping to streamline this communication a bit. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Probably worth a read of this first.
So it could amazon are still gathering the stock for an FBA order, or more likely, one item is out of stock and the customer asked for everything to go together.
Unfortunately, I doubt you'll get any joy out of seller support in cancelling the pending order as its been over three weeks (I assume this is what you want to happen). I think others have said that pending items can sit there for months.

Could you share the ID of the case you opened with Seller Support?
Although, as correctly mentioned by @Seller_ZJhFeE3tNKzfh, there are several scenarios which can cause the FBA order to be in pending status.
