RE:[CASE 16949399181] Other account issues

From Amazon Seller Support <seller.service05@amazon.com> on 2025-01-02 10:58

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

This is in accordance to your OTDR inquiry related to Jan. 1 being holiday.

As discussed, New Year is not listed as holiday in the system: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/sbr/ref=xx_shipset_dnav_xx#settings

To help us continually improve, we ask that you take a moment to complete our survey below to tell us about your experience with this specific interaction.

They say New Year is not a holiday in the system and that's why UPS and FedEx were only available, how is that possible, they are closed as well!! I've been selling on Amazon for over 15 years, January 1 was ALWAYS a holiday.

Not only that, we actually did work on the 1st got orders done and printed, my items range from 5.99-7.99, shipping was over 10$!!!

So tonight, we are shipping and it happens again, is it a night issue? We are open and process orders thousands daily we are open 24 hours a day. We ship very next day. I don't get it! Is Amazon stuck in some shipping loop?

Has this happened to anyone else? I could ship USPS through Amazon but says can be delivered late and not part of OTDR. We currently ship through Veeqo.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

I just bought ground advantage shipping tonight.

Perhaps something is amiss with your templates, like how you selected the prioritized carriers you use?

We had 183 orders affected by this where it used USPS Ground Advantage (Less than 1 lb) with Ship by date of 1/2/2025, but when going to use Buy Shipping through 3rd Party Label Printer (Teapplix), got message: "This shipping method does not meet the delivery promise. Please select a different shipping method or provide a valid ShippingServiceOfferId from the GetEligibleShippingServices operation." So, we had to go and manually do each order on Amazon, took us two hours instead of what is usually 5 minutes so we could use USPS Ground Advantage (Less than 1 lb) with Late Delivery Risk. It shouldn't be a Late Delivery Risk if Amazon used that to calculate the Delivery Promise. What's more is that you can use USPS Ground Advantage ( 1 lb - 70 lb) with no Late Delivery Risk. These should have the same delivery estimate. Amazon needs to fix this where the Delivery Promise and Buy Shipping estimators use the same formula for estimating and both Ground Advantage services have the same estimated delivery time. Had 2 more this morning like this.
