Shipping Dates (estimated delivery) are 2 weeks or or more?

I have just noticed some of my listings on the detail page are showing delivery estimates of Jan 27th to 28th. which is crazy…
The only thing I notice possibly different is I now have a “migrated template” as default
Hoping someone is able to shed some light on this as i think its only happened in the last couple of days?
Thanks in advance all…

This is amazon padding delivery dates due to delays with couriers

Have you got automated shipping settings switched on ? And what’s your handling time ?

Interesting. My dates have been extended too. I do not have Automated Shipping on. I currently have Default Handling Time set to 1 day, and the Transit Time set to 2-3 days (1-2 local areas) - which is the shortest delivery times I am able to set without going either Prime or Premium.

I wonder if setting Automated Shipping to ON will decrease the estimated times buyers can see?

I’ve not noticed anything out of the ordinary. This is what I see on the order that has just come through and also the same for any yesterday…

Standard

Ship by date: 13 Jan 2022 to 14 Jan 2022

Deliver by date: 17 Jan 2022 to 20 Jan 2022

I have the same and tried changing templates, switching on and off automated shipping etc and still the same, some of the larger depots are showing major issues - are u anywhere near Preston ?? as I am and any problems, and I get 2 week shipping dates.

UPDATE

The estimated dates seem to have miraculously fixed themselves. hooray…

We’re suddenly averaging around two orders per day. We were previously getting a couple of hundred a week. Our delivery times are showing as 12-14 days. Some of our competitors are showing as 2-3 days. Something is very seriously wrong. Amazon won’t even admit there is a problem. Five different people via their support chat have batted me away today with the same pre-penned spiel about it being due to COVID.

It makes zero sense. On Thursday our delivery times were showing as 2-3 working days. We’ve not changed anything. I’ve double checked our shipping templates and everything looks as it should. A couple of our competitors are even from the same city and use the same courier as us, yet their delivery times are unaffected.

I explained very calmly to Amazon that this could be the end of our business. I’ve got a couple of thousand pounds worth of stock on the way, i’ve just taken someone on part-time to help me pack, i’ve got to pay rent on a small unit, so to get told there isn’t a problem or there’s nothing they can do is galling.

Conveniently, our competitors whose delivery times haven’t been extended are much bigger companies than us and generate much more money for Amazon. My gut feeling is they’re hiding something. If it was a technical issue surely they could say. It’s impossible to get an answer, or even to speak to someone who has the remotest bit of empathy.

My shipping dates have rectified themselves. I made a test template on one FBM listing on Friday just gone. Checked yesterday Monday, and the test template had changed to correct dates and all the migrated ones also are now correct. So maybe its a waiting game until Amazon resolves the issue and servers all update. FOR THE PROBLEM THEY WONT ADMIT TO CAUSING…

Just noticed this on our listings too, have now enabled Automation, it took 20-30min and dates changed by 4 days - still getting 4th Feb for a 1st class post. The strangest part is the same item showing delivery by tomorrow on the computer (incognito) and delivery 4th Feb, on mobile…go figure.

An interesting thread, I have been wondering what was going on with the extended shipping dates that seem to be affecting me and some others. I too have turned on shipping automation with my preferred carriers. I doubt it can make the issue worse!

Same started to happen to us this week - out of nowhere all ASINs show delivery in 1-2 of February, so confusing! But for us the explanation may be high Late Dispatch Rate - we missed dispatching couple of orders on Saturday and because now our sales are slow after Christmas, that was enough to push us into 9% LDR over past 10 days. 30 days show 2.27%…
So first we thought that was it, but seeing other sellers with perfect metrics also experience it, we now doubt that is the explanation!
Automated shipping made no difference whatsoever - just instead of showing delivery 1-2 of February, it started to show by 2 of February.
Anyone deciphered this Amazon mystery yet? Seems like a lot of sellers are affected…
