Getting your proceeds from sales

Why does it take so long to get your proceeds from selling a book? Giving the buyer 28 days to return it is ridiculous. You could read it from cover to cover, send it back for a full refund, saying " I didn’t like it." Ever tried that at a bookshop?

There is different tiers we can dispurse every 24hrs but they hold a percentage of profits so we are usually always stuck with anything from 2500-5000 sitting in amazons account that we can’t touch at any one time.
They keep funds incase of returns and A-Z claims, 30 days is standard for most returns in most sectors.
Over time you dispursment will likely become more frequent but just be ready for them to hold x amount constant
