GS1 BARCODE NOT WORKING

I am selling a product that I purchased from a local wholesaler, the product is branded and belongs to someone else, I have been brand approved to sell this item, however when I input my brand new GS1 Barcode I get error 8572.

Do I first update the GS1 data base or do I first list the item, then once listed update their data base?

if you have a branded product without a barcode, you should be requesting GTIN exemption.

I resell brands e.g. Nike, I don't want to use same UPC as it causes confusion i warehouse

I have absolutely nothing more to add if that is your business model. Good luck escaping the matrix.

for products that are branded? Yup.

Take Nike for example. You’ll be getting an error because you have said the brand is Nike, so Amazon are looking for a Nike barcode alongside it. When they find a VOREX barcode instead (which would if it did list create a duplicate listing) then they rightly get suspicious and block the listing.
