Fees £1.00 higher than stated?

Trying carefully to sell used books on amazon.co.uk
Expected fees: £0.75 per sale (as an individual seller), + 5.1% or 15.3% referral fee.

The fees displayed while adding my book to the existing ASIN are exactly £1.00 more than this, whatever asking price I set, so £1.75 per sale + referrals.

Can anyone explain what is happening here? I can find no reference to explain the £1.00 anywhere.

Yes, there is an additional closing fee of £1 on all books over £5 including P&P, so if you are using Amazon’s default shipping of £2.80 per book, then any book that you sell for £2.20 or more will have that extra £1.
It used to be 50p, but they increased it by 100% quite some time ago !!
