Problems with buyer address
I have an AZ from last week and really don’t want to get this wrong. But I can’t for the life of me figure out this address? It’s some sort of foreign office…
It seems after some research that the buyer maybe serving armed forces…

BFPO = British Forces Post Office
Package will be delivered there then forwarded on to the officer etc at their base
What does the tracking show ?
Did you buy postage on or off amazon ?
Seller_DROodOAYHftnc
Not sure what you mean by that ? - an A-Z claim.
If you buy using Amazon ‘buy shipping’ then the address will be printed exactly as the customer input it, so will be no problem., and yes BFPO is as Little_Shop said.
The order itself will have a ‘ship by’ date - what does that say ?
Seller_sFEUMUfeW5484
But you’re saying you already have an A-Z for this order, even though the ship date is tomorrow? In any case, make sure you use a CN22 label also.

If its an expensive item, cancel it!!! Trust me!!

I know others have been helpful, BUT they have all missed important information!
It is to BFPO (British Forces Post Office), but the Buyer has only used the UK Sorting Office address in Ruislip, that is the postcode. It is to fool Amazon’s system, so it only charges as a normal UK address.
SEE AMAZON INFO: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?ref_=help_search_1-1&nodeId=201910740&qid=1644795235008&sr=1-1
It tells them how to address, and Prohibited Items (see link above)
You can charge more to BFPO addresses, as usually expensive to send to, you can also stop all orders from BFPO addresses (which we did years ago, after getting too many non-delivery claims), tell them to send to their relative in the UK to send the item for any that email in.
It is problematic to say the least, depends on BFPO address, some only 2Kg max, others 11Kg max, etc. Some to war areas, so get lost and Amz will refund Buyers, A-Z claims etc. Personel move and parcel lost, and you have to refund and lose out as even if signed for
(I suggest only send BFPO signed for), but is only signed for as far as the BFPO depot in Ruislip, NOT to the destination. Amz seem to accept though if any claims.
Unless you specifically book as a BFPO address (go to the Post Office they then check all ok), so BFPO get paid to forward to the actual address, then when it gets to the sorting office that belongs to BFPO, they will reject the parcel and eventually return it to you. So, do not just book online I suggest go to a Post Office unless you know what you are doing. Buy Shipping will send to this wrong address, so do not use that either.
Each BFPO address also has a separate Postcode, so the address given is incorrect. If they put the real postcode, then higher postage costs, and many Sellers will not send, so you can put address issue, but still have to defend that if too many orders cancelled.
The correct address will be something like:
(Name inc rank and serial number)
FCDO DRC Kinshasa
BFPO 5319
BF1 8UY
(that is the actual postcode for this Buyer, I looked it up for you)

Morning .
You are correct
that address looks like it’s a British Embassy address .
Posting to BFPO costs the same as posting within the UK,
As Royal Mail delivery to the holding address ,the Forces have there own postal service .
Can I just add it pretty good too ,in fact you can actual send things free to a family member of the forces if they are on active service .
Seller_KjHQOlTKYaPEw
just be careful that the Royal Mail accept what you are posting
I’ve had a parcel destroyed before for containing a forbidden item
(it was a Bath & Body set which included an aerosol spray)

Make sure you follow the guidelines for shipping to BFPO addresses. As MonkeyBoy has said, a CN22 is part of that.
Another thing is that you’re supposed to tape closed any openings, though I’ve not heard of something being rejected when this wasn’t done.
There may be other things you need to check as well.
Seller_XrX9BPqGnGQ2M
Why not also send a courtesy box of “Um Bongo” with your order.
Apparently, that’s what they drink down there (in the middle).
Seller_vtSzvxtW9StxE
in my experience BFPO address are more reliable with delivery - after all British Force will take and deliver this parcel from the postcode you’d sent
To be on safe side buy postage through amazon and send.
