linking error new seller account

Hello seller community,

Three months ago, I closed my seller account because I wanted to start a business in a different product category with a new fresh account. After that, I created a new fresh seller account. After completing the video verification for my new account, it got suspended again under section 3 for account linkage. The new account is linked to the old seller account, which I have already closed. Please help regarding this.

When these types of deactivation and concerns of association occur, they are due to being associated to a deactivated store per our code of conduct-multiple account policy.

  • You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

Due to this policy, it is very likely that the original account was undergoing some type of deactivation which prevented it from being closed. Per our account closure policy, any deactivated stores will need to resolve their issues prior to being eligible to be closed.

  • Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.

Based on the information provided, you will very likely need to sign back into your original account, resolve the deactivation issues and at that point, if you no longer wish you use the account, you can then successfully close the store. Once the original account issues have been resolved, you can come back to this store and acknowledge the reactivation of the associated store to be eligible for reactivation.
