Shipping costs wrong? From UK to Ireland
Hi.
I am new to amazon selling and I sold an item here is the costs from the email below;
Quantity: 1
Order date: 20/12/2022
Price: £45.52
Tax: £10.47
Shipping: £4.72
Shipping tax: £1.09
Amazon fees: -£11.35
Marketplace Facilitator Tax: -£10.47
Marketplace Facilitator Shipping Tax: -£1.09
Your earnings: £38.89
The customer is in Ireland and I am UK based. The cost to ship to Ireland is £7.20 Small Parcel 2nd Class Standard (upto 750g) or £6.12 (upto 500g).
Why am I paying some money for delivery out of my own pocket?
When listing the item, I used the correct ASIN number too.
Appreciate the help and thanks in advance everyone!

Exactly as Demel has said - Amazon have not increased their default shipping costs for years, despite the constant increase in postage prices.
You have to allow for that in the price of your item, or as many of us have done, especially since brexit, have totally stopped selling overseas.
It has nothing to do with the correct ASIN.

You either need to increase the shipping you charge for international orders (if you are on the pro selling plan), or disable international shipping if Amazon’s rates aren’t enough.
Edit - to be clear, Amazon’s postage rates are often not enough for domestic orders too as they haven’t been updated in years. The pro selling plan allows you to set more accurate rates or to add it into the purchase price and offer “free” shipping.

Just edit the template for international orders and state your own price, inc packing and shipping, I make an extra £1.38 on orders sent to Ireland or the EU, why cut international orders from your sales when you could lose the sale? go to the small cog top right and click shipping settings then edit, and change it to what you need.
