YOU are working on King Charles 'Bank Holiday' - did you know?

Amz have NOT set Public Holiday (Bank Holiday) days for King Charles III Crowning, nor Bank Holiday Monday set thereafter.

Are DPD and RM working on those 2 days, they have said they are not, so Amz ‘should’ set both of those days as holidays, so they do not count in the estimated delivery dates, nor SPF shipping dates, etc.

Saturday 6 May 2023 = King Being Crowned (Coronation Charles III). Not officially the Bank Holiday, but a bit like Christmas Day falling on a Saturday, it is not an official holiday, but most will not be working.

Monday 8 May 2023 = Bank Holiday (Official UK Public Holiday). This makes up the holiday as the Coronation was over a weekend.

I say ‘should’ but Amz as usual are useless, and not set on the holiday dates. So YOU have to ship SFP orders (even though unsure how as DPD/RM not working I’m told, so will have defects on the Account as once before with a similar bodge up), answer messages, etc, as normal working days.

I assume Amz own courier working over the holiday, but most of us do not use them to ship, so this needs to be taken into account.

Perhaps in the same way as pointed out how useless they were over Easter holidays, Sellers yet again have to nag Amz to resolve these dates? (it is a shame Amz are such a small useless Co to have no staff to check on these things! - the Government set these dates last year, so easily located, and surely should have been on the Amz holiday list long ago).

Here is our reply from Amazon seller support regarding Monday 8th May 2023 bank holiday…

"Thank you for your continued patience. We’ve researched thoroughly with all the available resources and our investigation has been completed, the results are listed below.

We regret to inform you that as per the specialist teams, Monday 8th May 2023 cannot be currently added to “Amazon listed holidays”. Seller support will not be able to provide any further information on this.

In order to resolve your concern, we recommend you to to set the inventory On Holiday status for that specific day."

So at the moment you either need to set your listings on holiday, or take the hit with the defects. There is possibly a chance it will get added last minute, but the support response from Amazon is useless as usual.
