Intellectual Property Violation - Don't want listing - Help!
Hello,
Case: 17429411321, ASIN: B0CQFRYJCY
I really need some help with this situation:
- I set Shopify Marketplace Connect to connect our HJC helmets Shopify listings to any listings on Amazon.com
- One of the helmets linked the GTIN with the ASIN B0CQFRYJCY, but I think we have the wrong UPC code (GTIN) and it should have connected with B0BN36LGPC. I did not notice that as we are a retailer who has offers on many listings.
- I noticed one of the listings in our large number of listings required a photo and a description so I added that to the listing. Most of the time that doesn't actually update to the listing because we are a retailer selling various products. I didn't notice that it wasn't under the HJC brand.
- This triggered the Intellectual Property violation
We do not need this listing or want to create it. It was linked in error and I apologize for not noticing that it was not the right listing. The first chat agent I spoke with told me I could delete the image. Then I was told to add more images. Then I was told today to get a letter of authorization. I thought they meant to sell the brand, which of course we could obtain and we have invoices as well. But I see they meant a letter of authorization to create a listing, which I'm sure a large company like HJC wouldn't provide. We don't want to create a new listing under this brand name. I simply want to put an offer in on the correct ASIN.
I would really like to have this situation resolved and remove the big hit on our Account Health. It was a total oversight that I did not notice the listing was not under HJC. We truly do not want to create any listings on their behalf, only list an offer under current ASINs they have.
Is there anyone who is able to understand this situation and help resolve it? Am feeling a bit like I'm in a Kafka novel.

Hello @Seller_XhTBn0pWIgV6M
Case: 17429411321, ASIN: B0CQFRYJCY
Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues you have encountered. I do see the case information where you have been attempting to address the concern, and did review so that I may better understand your situation as I want to provide support to get you moving forward. I understand that there was an issue with the UPC and GTIN that has created an ASIN that you do not want to sell on.
This is going to be a complex situation as you are still looking to sell the brand that is associated to the ASIN. While we cannot guarantee that it will lead to the removal of the violation, I would advise on providing the authorization documents in addition to the explanation of the situation. Any other documents or details that you have that can show the mix up in the UPC/GTIN should also be provided to further validate the situation.
Once you have submitted this information, please refer back to this thread so that I may continue to review and offer support to your concern.
Best,
Atlas
