What are others finding more effective applying a 5% off coupon or a 5% Price discount? Is there any difference in demand or traffic raised?
any advantage or disadvantage of doing one over other rather than the aestetetics (scratch off vs coupon clip)?

Prime Exclusive Discount is a price discount that is available to Prime members. Product offers with a Prime Exclusive Discount will show a discounted price with the regular price crossed out. Buyers will also see a savings summary in search results and on product detail pages. Prices adjusted for discounts are displayed on the Featured Offer detail page.
Percentage off and money off coupons will be combined with discounts from other promotions that are running at the same time. Such promotions include Lightning Deals, promotions, sale price, Business price, and Outlet deals. For example, if a Lightning Deal offers a 20% discount on a product and that same product also has a 5% off coupon running at the same time, the two discounts will be combined, for a total of 25% off.
