Unethical and unfair charges by Amazon UK and EU
In March 2023 I switched my account from Professional selling to individual selling but Amazon still keeps charging me for the professional selling fees. I have emailed them twice every month to no avail. I am still getting charged for professional services I do not need. Please advise how to make or have Amazon stop this unfair behavior. Thanks.

Does it say individual on your account info? Have they charged for other sites or is it definitely the UK charge?

Yes, 25.84 for UK and 25.84 for EU. I have been an individual seller since March, told them about it, they confirmed it but, won’t stop charging me these amounts. They are also not specific which services are causing these fees, and won’t do anything to stop such services. I am working with my bank so they can stop any Amazon UK charges.

They are not professional selling plan amounts
They are vat services amounts
If they were Professional selling plan amounts they would be listed as subscription fees
Vat service fees as listed as other
You are correctly registered on the individual selling plan as you have no storefront
You need to contact the vat services provider to officially terminate your contract - if possible

I have not sold anything since March so I am not sure why I would be getting charged VAT. Even when I sold an item or 2, VAT charges were no where close to 25.84.

As far as I’m aware - the two services are mutually exclusive. Have you folllowed the suggestion from the little shop yet to see what it states on the payment reports?

You may have had an introductory offer (first x months free or reduced amount) .
It cannot be a professional selling fee as you only pay once for the whole of UK and EU combined. If you are receiving two charges then you are probably paying for VAT filing (accountancy) services in two different countries.

It’s not vat - it’s vat services ie running accountancy fees
They will still be filing your quarterly / monthly zero vat returns for you

Also… heres’s pricing from the VAT Services page - €29.17 - which converts to £25.38, which could quite easily have been £25.84 in previous months owing to conversion.
So its highly likely, all you need to do, is cancel the VAT Services.
