Open a new account or wait for verification
So I own a physical shop, I am one of 3 owners, the two other directors are retiring and I am am going to solely take over all of the business, I wanted to remove them from the Amazon account and it just be in my name and a new address, I tried to do this and the account was automatically restricted and I had this reply
You currently have limited access to Amazon selling services
I have been waiting for about 3 weeks now and I am unable to sell anything, before the restriction, I was making a reasonable amount by FBA but now this has stopped completely, do you think I am better off closing down the account and making a new one or just wait to be validated, I have tried seller support but they are not the most informative and just tell me to wait, I did a bit of research and some people are saying 3-4 months for validation.
Every day we are losing money by not being able to sell, so I do need to find a quick resolution to this, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

Have you already removed the other 2 directors from the equivalent of companies house?

I would say definitely do not open another account, especially if you are already on the current one and any of the details (email address, bank account etc) will be the same, as then both will be suspended.
3-4 months is usually only if the matter is complex. If it is simply a case of change of name, then that hopefully should be straight forward - but this is Amazon, so nothing is simple !!
