AMZ Changing My Handling Time with expedited orders

Hello,

I have many products that have a lead time and have set them as such while editing the listing. This has been happening more often. Recently a product that had a 5 day lead time was made available same day because the customer selected Second Day shipping. For some reason when a customer chooses expedited shipping Amazon completely ignores my lead time and makes it available that day. This doesn't seem to happen for the Free Economy shipping option only for paid shipping. How can I solve this? A few customers have cancelled their orders when I let them know what was happening and this has resulted in my Order Defect rate being affected. This doesn't seem right and it is now affecting my ability to sell on this platform. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

All forms of premium shipping override handling time.

This is not new.

What is new is Amazon sneaking in while you are napping and automating your default handling time.

This will also override your SKU level handling time, and that's even for orders with standard shipping.

You need to check regularly to make sure that automation is not allowed for your default handling.
