UK VAT registeration exemption

Hello

I created an LTD in UK in April 2024. However, I do not meet the criteria for a UK establishment. My annual expected turnover is less than 85k. Should I declare VAT exemption or not.

there is no such a thing as tax exemption. If you are not a uk citizen and keep stock in Uk then you MUST legally be vat registered. There is no threshold in this scenario.

Are you talking about getting Amazon to issue invoices / receipts on your behalf?

If you do not live in UK, but are storing your goods in UK for FBA then you must be VAT registered in UK. The £90K threshold is not applicable for non-UK residents.

However, my VAT application was rejected by HMRC. So, I do not understand if there is any illegal perspective now connected to my selling on Amazon. I am paying VAT to Amazon directly.
