Hi @Seller_0sWRKHbtkL2km,
Thank you for utilizing the Seller Forums!
The order defect rate reflects your customer service abilities on merchant-fulfilled orders. This is calculated by the number of A-to-Z guarantee claims, negative seller feedbacks, and chargeback claims over the number of total orders for a given 60-day period.
While there are other policies and expectations you should keep in mind about your inventory and listings, the FBA order defect rate should not impact your account since Amazon is taking the ownership of delivery and customer service.
The following types of A-to-Z guarantee claims impact your ODR:
- Claims that are granted to the buyer and for which, Amazon determines that you were at fault
- Claims for which you refunded the buyer after the claim was filed
- Claims for which you or Amazon canceled the order
- Claims that are pending a decision on appeal
The following types of claims do not impact your ODR:
- Claims for which, Amazon determines that you were not at fault
- Claims that are denied to the buyer
- Claims that were withdrawn by the buyer
- Claims that fall under the A-to-z Claims Process for Property Damage and Personal Injury.
I suggest checking out the information on the order defect page linked above to see the other insight provided on impacting factors here.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to continue the conversation in this thread, as the community and I are here to support you.
All the best,
Stevie.
