Shipping Adjustments

So I just got 18 shipping adjustments for my returns, I paid the original label costs which were from $5 to $7 and now Im getting charged $20 on each return on top of that as an "adjustment" , even if there was an adjustment it shouldnt be $20 because it would be at most 1lbs heavier than the actual weight, UPS is ripping me off and Amazon costumer service is no help.

Adjustment take in to consideration the size of the box for volume weight. So if the customer packs your small item in a huge box, then you will be hit with some massive overages. Amazon also makes the label based off of what the weight and dimensions are in the product description. So if those are wrong, the weight is more or the dimensions are oversized from someone trying to pad their shipping numbers when the listing are created then the label would be more expensive because of that as well.

if the adjustment is below 1000 dollars let it go. ups and amazon wont help you anyways.. they need to pay their drivers 42 dollars per hour.. so they take off us.

There a few different reasons why sellers may see a carrier adjustment for shipping. The most common reason is a difference in dimensions or weights between the seller-entered and carrier-audited information.

However, there can also be adjustments for address corrections, fuel surcharges, differences in zone pricing between Amazon's calculations and USPS's, and others.

Our team is working to make the reasons for these charges clearer to sellers. In the meantime, I will open up a direct cases with you with more details.

I have the same. Amazon customer service tells me to call UPS. UPS says they cant talk to me because I dont have an invoice because it is Amazons bill. Im told to reopen a safeT claim and then Amazon says they cant be reopened. I have over 100 5.00 plus charges to my bill in the last 6 weeks. Amazons reply OH WELL!!!! we need to have this investigated. Amazon doesnt have a billing dept. This seems odd....
