TEMU stealing product images

I just found out that TEMU has stolen several of my product images, erasing the logos of course. Creating these photos/images takes a lot of effort and money, making this matter highly frustrating.

I am guessing many people selling here have had the same problem, what did you do? what would you recommend? Is there anything Amazon can do to help or is willing to do?

The only thing i have done so far is to report the TEMU account, but i am hoping to read about other measures from sellers with more experience.

There is also the issue with the fake 1-star reviews that could easily come from competitors from these other platforms just to hurt Amazon sellers. One reviewer posted an incredibly awful review last month in our page, i checked his profile and 4 out of 6 of his reviews were a 1-star review. It is easy to doubt he is an honest reviewer. And this hurts new sellers a lot, specially when they have almost no reviews.

How about that. Every computer has the image capture feature.

While logic and law say they are your creation, the United Nations has not established the internation Photo Police to report it too yet. If you host your own images, place a water make in them, or code them for non-copying, it helps.

We have over 20,000 images of our branded products all over the internet. In fact, if my brand name is placed in the Bing browser and an image search is requested, 100's of them display. But they are detailed in such a way, other would-be sellers would not want to use them.

Hello @Seller_EkxA5hEpY8tZV,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and unfortunately I can only assist the process to file infringement complaints on Amazon and do not have access to other website's processes or IP violation reporting mechanisms.

I do wish you luck and hopefully a member of the Selling Community here can help assist further.

Best, Dougal

We had a similar problem with a seller on Homedepot.com. We tried to resolve it through a regular customer service ticket but were referred to the legal dept. Their legal department told us to submit a DMCA notice to address the infringement. You can find DMCA templates for free online. You need to submit the form to the website owner/host as the law holds them responsible for allowing the infringement. I guess if you had a way to contact the seller you could send them a copy too. In this case Home Depot took down the infringing listings right away. If you have the resources you can find a lawyer to do this for you. I do not know how possibly hosting from overseas effects this law.

frustrating, but you cannot do nothing..sad!

TEMU is doing this on other websites as well. You should check Aliexpress also a culprit. You can contact TEMU and request take down.

Request take down from Temu, DMCA as a last resort, AND post it on LinkedIn (I know it's very unconventional), but Temu literally has a team of PR specialists (or so call PR specialists) scraping LinkedIn to fend off a PR crisis.

Temu is a Chinese owned company. Unless you are a Chinese citizen/company and someone is breaking Chinese law, complaining will get you nowhere. If you are a successful seller on Temu yourself maybe they'll do something to help you out but probably not.
