You create a removal order.
Go into Manage All Inventory; at the right side of the page, you'll see a drop-down menu (3 dots) by each item; one of your choices is "Create Removal Order". you can choose to have the item returned to you, or disposed of. The cost to you is the same either way; you can find the costs by going to the Help page and search for "Removal Order".

Keep in mind removing it costs money. So calculate the costs and see if it is worth it to remove it. In addition, you can request liquidation for a small fraction of the worth of the item (usually 5-10% of the net value after amazon fees)

Hi @Seller_54RrJB3XhXtIT,
While I'm sorry to read about the experience I do want to provide the official help pages for the processes, and thanks to Nisha for the reply above.

Hope these help and best of luck!

I usually try to return it to myself so I can recoup some of the losses through other sales channels, but the downsides of that are: 1. It costs money to ship it back to you, and 2. The employees removing your item have no incentive to make sure the item gets back to you safely and the packaging of your item will most likely be destroyed due to the box being too big, too small, or lacking any packing material whatsoever.

Our first and last return of product: We sent everything to Amazon in perfect boxes, BRAND NEW palletized and sealed. When it was returned, it was boxed separately with some only partially filled boxes or singles. Each box we received, we were charged for. We were shocked at how many pieces we received that could have been combined. By the time we got it all back, the cost for reshipping it to us and the return fees, was far more than the value of the actual product. And yes, much of the packaging was destroyed and at least 15% of the items were unable to be resold as new and were then donated to Salvation Army. You should determine the value of the product you own to be able to make the best decision for you and your company. For us, never again.

No, "Remove" or "Destroy" cost the same.
Liquidate is a different animal. I've not dealt with it, but my understanding is that while you may get some money out of the deal, until there is a buyer, you continue to pay storage fees. So it may work out better, but it's a gamble. (please correct me if I'm wrong about paying storage fees after submitting the order)

What did you do? Is it better to request destroy inventory or return it?
