Brand Hijacking Issue

Hello,

I am encountering a serious issue where my brand name has been tampered with, which has halted my sales management. We have been listing and selling this product for 5 years, with multiple variants under the parent ASIN. Now, one of these variants has had its brand name altered and has been separated from the rest. Seeing many others on the forum facing similar issues is deeply concerning! When might our other products be subjected to similar hijacking?

Amazon's policy should prohibit others from tampering with brands; why is this happening? Malicious brand tampering harms buyers who have been purchasing the product and sellers who have been complying with Amazon's regulations, and it also damages Amazon's corporate image.

Complaint ID: 16906741461

In the forum, I noticed that @Jim_Amazon or @Dougal_Amazon might be able to assist with this issue.

I would be very grateful if a solution to this problem could now be found.

Best regards,

Ada

Hi Ada (@Seller_pZyArgpZoSdKf),

On this page (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G201951410), there's a question about what to do if you think your variations are being hijacked by another seller. It suggests contacting Selling Partner Support. Is that what you did with your complaint? I was just curious because you mentioned a Complaint ID rather than a Case ID.

The second link I'd look at is: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GBR82EG272SZJDFS. Under 'Report a Violation,' there's a 'Report a Violation tool' mentioned, which you could probably use in this case if you've registered your brand with the Amazon Brand Registry.

Kind regards, Michael

Hi there @Seller_pZyArgpZoSdKf

I would love to help with this! I'm having a tough time tracking down this specific complaint ID at the moment. Do you have this reported via a Seller Support case as well as @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Z asked?

@Jim_Amazon @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Z

Contact Seller Support and come back with a case ID.

This is a common tactic by bad actors overseas and will take awhile to get resolved.

Screenshots will be needed for Amazon to pay attention. (no offense to @Jim_Amazon as he already reached out, I mean actual support personnel)

Don't get discouraged from the first canned answer you recieve from seller support. They normally don't read or look at the first submission so you will have to submit the screenshots at least twice.

Ask for it to be escalated to the proper department team.

Do a test buy and document what was actually received.

I have had this problem before, someone took my listing and made it a child under their own listing, even though they did not even offer the product. They just used it to scam off my advertising money to highlight the 4 listings they truly owned.

I did finally get the listing fixed, so here is hoping you get it fixed faster.

Your listings are always subject to hijacking and the only thing you can do is react when it happens, like you are.

I had the same issue, I sent all the company original documents and get the middle finger from Amazon. I lost all my hard work for the last 4 years and they don't even have a phone number to call. Amazon is a scam

Click on ‘Report an issue with this product or seller’ on the product page and then complain about the inconsistency of the brand with the original and it will be restored soon.
