Changing a brand image to new packaging?
Hi
we are looking to update a image on a product to there new style packaging as its causing a few returns due to the difference in packaging. we have tried changing this but amazon has rejected the change due to us not having brand registry of the listing we have contacted the brand directly to see if they can change this but they say they don’t use amazon. so im guessing someone else has made the listing but when you click on the brand it doesnt show a storefront or anything like it normally would with brand registry really confused on how we can get this changed.
also we have contacted SS who have been no help at all.

Problems like this have been going on for years, and there was a post not so long ago and the consensus was no one got anything done from SS. especially issues like this.
I know it maybe a little against the rules but are you able to create a new listing?
Also what i think amazon mean by brand registry is actually the person who set the listing up in the first place. not necessary the brand

Chances are that this listing was setup for the product, with it’s original barcode.
And as the manufacturer has changed it subsequently, the listing will probably no longer match the barcode.
Have you checked this?
A simple search for the “Add a product” page will confirm it or not.
If the EAN does not match the product your listing against, then Support are actually correct in stopping you from changing it. In which case, you will probably find that one exists already for the new EAN.

anotehr example of seller being blocked from SS in updating the catalogue to continue selling. is there anything you can do or report
